A. Cottonham, Houston, TX - This novel presents a fun and interesting story to the reader. "If the Tree Could Talk (Oh the Stories It Would Tell)" is full of dynamic & realistic characters. It takes a while for the action to start, (because you have to get to know the setting, characters, etc) but once it starts, you won't be able to put it down!!!

There is so much of each of us in the various family members and the black family is portrayed in a very real and positive way. Sweetie Pie is such an enduring little character and the author captured her age and youth perfectly. There were times when I simply laughed out loud! I did not want the story to end. This is a very good book and one I think the young and the old can enjoy.
